Q: What do I need to do to begin using the app?

A: Creating your account on Gina's Platform is quick and easy.  If you are a Lifestyle Professional at a Phenix Salon Suites location you will receive an email invite to set up your account which will link your account to your location and allow you to pay your license fees through the Gina's Platform App.  


If you are not a Lifestyle Professional at a Phenix Salon Suites location:

  1. Visit www.ginasplatform.com
  2. Click on the red Create Account Button in the upper right hand corner of the screen
  3. Enter your name, email, phone number, date of birth, choose the Business Owner platform option, create a password, and then click Create Account
  4. The next page will give you a brief overview of Gina's Platform
  5. Click "Get Started" to begin setting up your basic business profile. 
  6. At the end of the setup process you will be instructed to download the Gina's Platform App. We currently offer iOS and Android apps that work on both phones and tablets. 
  7. After downloading the app, you will be guided through a more complete setup process, asking for your photo, services, business hours and more.


Q: I am a Lifestyle Professional at a Phenix Salon Suite Location but I signed up on ginasplatform.com and I do not have a License Fee tile on my dashboard to pay my License fee. What do I do now?

A: Please contact us at support@ginasplatform.com and we will link your account.


Q: I accidentally selected the client platform option. What do I do now?

A: Please contact us at support@ginasplatform.com to reset your account.


Q: Is all the information I put into the app backed up somewhere so it can’t get lost? 

A: Yes. The Gina's Platform Data resides on Microsoft Azure cloud servers and all information is backed up.


Q: Do I need an Internet connection to use the app?

A: Yes, you do. The mobile app must communicate with the servers to update itself. However, there is certain information that will remain on the app without a connection to the Internet.


Q: Is there a monthly fee to use the booking mobile app or website?

A: No, the app is free for you to use. The only charge is if you want to use SMS text message confirmations/reminders. That fee is $5.00 month and is optional.


Q: Can I immediately start using the booking app?

A: You must complete the setup process of the app before it can be used. Please visit Completing Your Business Profile for detailed instructions on completing the setup process.


Q: I’m using another booking app. Can I upload my clients and appointments into your app without having to do it manually?

A: Most booking apps will turnover your client information to you in a CSV file. You can email that file to us at support@ginasplatform.com and we will upload your client contact list at NO CHARGE. However, we are not able to upload your appointments since our system is not exactly like other booking systems.


Q: Does this system invite my clients to download the mobile app?

A: Yes, it does. You can either have it email or text them to download the app or view the website we provide for you.


Q: What if I leave Phenix Salon Suites? What happens to all my information?

A: It’s your proprietary information. We can export your information so you can have it uploaded to another booking system (if they allow it).


Q: Can the owner/management of the salon suites see my client information/etc. that I load into the app?

A: No, they cannot. No one but you can view your client details, appointments, and other private information.


Q: Does your system integrate with Outlook, Apple, or Google calendars?

A: Currently this feature is in development.


Q: Can I share my schedule with another app user?

A: Currently that feature is in development.  Meanwhile, we suggest using the same login credentials to share the same account.  If you like, you can color code the different service offerings to show which person does which service so that it is easy to pick out who is assigned to which appointment.
